The water and sanition chapter of this report includes all data on Maharashtra water status. It provides data on total length of rivers, water demand of major cities, waste generation and disposal of the cities, ground water availability pre and post monsoon and the like.

National River Conservation Plan (NRCP) is a centrally funded scheme launched in 1995 aimed at preventing the pollution of rivers. It provoide information of each state on amount sanctioned under NRCP to which city and for what purpose. Purposes included under the plan are construction of STP, river front development, low cost sanitation, afforestation etc.

It gives annual reports from 2007 - 2010 with details on spending of Member of parliament local area development schemes fund. It gives details of spending in various sector including drinking water, sanitation and public health for each state.

This report provides an assessment of financing arrangements of urban water supply and sanitation sector in Gujarat. It gives detail on expenditure by different class of cities in O & M of water and sanitation. It have data on funds allocated under various programmes and schemes for the sector and its uses. It also study the process and channel through which the fund flows.

The Ministry supports external aided projects in the water supply and sanitation sector. So far 17 projects have been implemented with World Bank/French assistance. The details like project name, cost, donor agency and year of completion are given.
