Description:

e-North East is a multi-stakeholder dialogue and consultation annual congregation in the field of Information Communication Technology, technology for development, Internet for Development and Governance  in North East India. The focus is to exchange ideas, knowledge, and best practices, demonstrate examples and share experiences from mainstream India and from the region for better learning and replication in the region.  It is a policy and working forum towards policy and programme declarations for further follow and action taken steps. It is a platform for Government-Industry-Civil Society and Academia stakeholders to enter into dialogue in deliberating on governance and development challenges in the region and exploring solutions through ICTs and information mediums.

e-North East is pleased to seek your presence and participation during the 2nd 'eNorth East Award Summit 2011'. The 2nd edition has 29 best practices, ideas and presentation during the full day programme which also presents thematic inaugural session, 6 parallel tracks and Award  & Felicitation ceremony. Govt. of Nagaland through its Dept of ITC is the host State & Department.

The focus of e-North East 2011 is to dialogue, consult and share ideas and experience in ICT and technology for development to improve development and governance in North East. The focus is to bring forth ideas, programmes, and practices towards learning and experience sharing in relevancy for the State of Nagaland and other NE states. The aim is to enable policy consolidations and partnership understandings and agreements on areas of convergence among stakeholders – government, industry, civil society and academia. Held in Nagaland (Kohima), the focus of the 2011 Congress is on various aspects of ICT for development in this State. The focus will be on the ‘Kohima Declaration’ to identify challenges and chalk out action plans to introduce, sustain and operation sustainable ICT and technology policy and practices benefiting the region and its citizens without harming social, cultural and economic harmony.
