I live in Gerugambakkam, near Porur, Chennai . Recently i drilled a bore well of 135 feet. Out of 135 feet, i have used PVC pipe of 5" inner diameter without slot up to 90 feet, and remaining 45 feet with 4" pvc pipes with slot.
While drilling we found loose soil mixed with sand up to 90 feet, then black rocks were found. We used slow rig machine up to 90 feet and for remaining 45 feet we used Power rig machine. When i pumped the water from borewell, it was mild yellow in color and a little salty.I am using 1HP pump with suction pipes up to 90 feet.
Could someone help me know the reason for the yellowish color in water?
Earlier i had an open well of 20 feet depth and 3 feet diameter, and the water was colorless and tasted sweet. But due to house construction, i had to close the Open Well and drill this bore well.
