I am doing a research as part of my studies regarding industrial wastewater treatment in India.
I would like to know the following:
- Is there a charge(fee) or fine if the amount of COD in the industrial wastewater discharged by factories exceeds the standard amount set by the pollution control board ?
- Are regulations for wastewater discharge enforced strictly by the government?
