The faecal coliform bacteria count at Har ki Pauri, Haridwar, is very high but not many people, surprisingly, fall sick after having a holy dip! People even drink that water because of their faith. Why is it that a majority do not face health problems?
Apart from data on FC, there are other parameters which affect water quality. I would like to know whether the other parameters have been analysed as well?
