I have purchased land in Mattoor located in Kalady Town, Ernakulam District, Kerala. Total area is about 6.5 cents. There is low lying land with abundance of groundwater. A canal is present on one side of the plot (only high area surrounding the plot).
The water in the canal fills the trenches in my plot currently. My
concern rests with two parts:
1. Is it possible to construct and maintain a soak pit under these conditions?
2. Are there any methods that will help me improve drainage of the plot and prevent waterlogging during monsoon.
