Water quality standards to be followed to prevent hair loss

Dear sir,

              i am student of one of the management institute in Karnataka.i observed that there is high hair loss among students in hostels evident while room cleaning.Though we are having good water treatment facility i still feel that hair loss is due to water problem.would you please guide us on what are the quality standards and procedures we should follow in order to prevent hair loss.
