Hello experts,
We got a borewell of 6.5" dia drilled at JP Nagar, Bangalore and total depth drilled is 700 feet. The driller told us that we have got about 1" water at a depth of520feet and he stopped drilling at 700 feet saying that there is no use in drilling further. Based on his advice, we stopped further drilling and after 2 days, we checked the water level by using a thread tied to a small piece of stone and found that around 200 feet of storage from the bottom of well. Now, some people are saying that is not a sufficient yield and are suggesting me to redrill the borewell on the same point for another 150-200 feet so that I would get additional storage space even if I don't get another source of water. Would there be any technical issue or risks if I go for redrilling of the existing borewell? Would it damage the existing water source?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
