This is Avinandan. We have dug a borewell at our property this month. The details of the borewell is as follows:
1. Bore was drilled till 804 feet.
2. There are 2 sources; at 102 feet with almost 3 inches and at 470 with 3/4th inch.
3. Since the 102 feet source was muddy, we driller kept drilling for better source.
4. Eventually at 804 feet, on encountering hard rock, drilling was stopped.
5. The driller said that 3 inch output is satisfactory and recommended us to use fiilter pipe and use the borewell.
6. However, filter pipe could be installed till 750 feet only since pipes could not go beyond that.
7. Next day, while installing the submersible pump, the pump could not go beyond 710 feet, and was accordingly positioned 20 feet heigher than that at 690 feet.
We have used a Suguna make 6HP 45 stage submersible pump with a 1.25 inch pipe. Now the problem is that we have good water for 1 to 1.5 hours in the morning and then the output stops. We get water again after a gap of 2 to 3 hours and the water output stays for 20 - 25 mins only.
Can you tell me what is the problem with this borewell? Is it a problem with the pump? Is 6HP 45 stage pump with 1.25 inch pipe too powerful for the source? Some people also say that the driller should have cleaned the borewell prior to installing the pump. Is it true? How can we clean the borewell now?
Is there any agency in Bangalore which can solve ths problem?
