Water contaminated with iron in a 260 ft borewell, unable to fix pump at 70ft due to silt - Need help in retrieving the borewell

(Query received over email from Chitrashekar N. S.)

We have a bore well which has served us for 8 years and now due to a new bore well close by, its water is contaminated with iron. When we cleaned the well, it started collapsing and silt started accumulating. The depth of the bore is 260 ft and the water source is at 160 feet which doesn't have any iron or abnormality. The new borewell close to ours is 450 feet deep and the water source is at 250ft.

My borewell's casing is at 110ft  but now am unable to fix pump even at depth of 70ft because of the accumulated silt. Please help me in retrieving my bore well. I will be grateful to you.
