Water in borewell

I need advice on two separate bore wells for farming purpose.

1) About 5 years ago, 6" borewell was dug with casing for 160 feet next to a hill to plant lemon trees in a  60 cents of agricultural land. Immediately, it was sealed and not used till now. After seeing water level at 30 feet from the ground, I fixed a single phase 2 HP submersible motor with 1.5 inches delivery pipe (140 feet) To my shock, after lifting water for 15 minutes, the flow was reduced to less than 1 inch. Also, the water was white in colour with fine particles of white stone( limestone). Even after running the motor for 4 to 5 hours, the water level is still less than 1 inch. Since it is a being used first time, can I hope that the quality and quantity of water improves over a period.  Or should I dig another bore well as there is evidence of enough water in the small bore wells nearby. Please advise

2) Another hand-drilled 6 inch bore well, was dug with casing up to 53 feet next to a river. The water is reducing to less than 0.5 inch when there is no water in the river. Water is available from 20 feet. I am planning to grow banana in the 50 cents plot. My question is what HP motor and delivery pipe should I use and is there is any way I can increase water output. If not is the water enough for irrigating banana with drip.
