Should I choose a water system that reduces the solids to less than 10ppm? Is it safe? What are the other options?

I was contacted yesterday by a representative from Kenetic water systems. I have well water that is already treated by a whole house filtration system that attempts to boost the pH, and then softens the water via a salt system.

Upon testing, the pH value was found to be 6.5 and the solids were 190ppm.

He says, his system reduces the solids to less than 10ppm. Does this result in safe(r) drinking water for my family? If not, what should I look for in a system to treat my water?
