Hello,
We dug a borewell in our premise for domestic purposes upto a depth of 200ft. The driller said he had encountered a sand bed and that there was plenty of water, hence there was no need to drill further. The PVC casing pipe was lowered to 197 ft after an hour of compressor based on air flushing.
I have installed a 1.5 HP texmo borewell submersible pump recently. The plumber has lowered the 1.25 inch pipe to 90 ft and stopped saying that further lowering could result in further sand inflow. As we pumped water, we had sand particles in the water in the first 30 minutes flow and later the water was clear.
My queries are:
1) Is this a shallow or deep tube well?
2) Since the water is clear (becoz of the flushing done post drilling) should I not lower the 1.25 inch pipe further down to some 135 ft since I have a casing till 197 ft? Or is my plumber making excuses (sand ingress) to earn more labour charge again and again on a later date?
3) Is there a way to know the quantity of water in the acquifier or process an image of the reservoir/flow? Will that be expensive?
