Respected sir/madma,
My query is regarding the new borewell which we recently dug-up, the length of the bore well is of approx 35-40 feet deep, the water is reddish sunset yellow in color and tastes like some chemical which i remember tasting in chemical lab, my house is located in lowlaying area and all the water of the upper colonoy flow into our area, there is still no underground water pipes laid by grovernent, all the rain water goes into the ground and the level of water is such that vacant plot of lands is always in water,
1. what does the colour of water indicates?
2. my area is located where the chemical industries such as the CCPL,MPCL,TPL are functioing. are they the spoliers?
3. is there chance of good water (other than for drinking purpose) availbility at grater deepth?
4. where should i test my water in north chennai?

i don't face any water problem but, to secure the future am going to depend fully upon the ground water? so the my query,
