I am looking forward for a sustainable model for community water supply as a CSR & Sustainability initiative of our organisation. We are planning to go for a drinking water treatment and supply project for a water scarce district in Rajasthan.
The plan is to go for a desalination unit (10000 cubic meter/day) and supply it to existing municipal supply system. I would be glad if the experts can share some successful case studies and running models which mutually benefits the community and organisation as well. If there are technologies other than RO to treat TDS in the range of 3500 - 6000 ppm and can be implemented for large scale community projects, please share it.
Also, I am interested to explore different treated water supply schemes so that the treated water is used for beneficial purposes and not flushing the toilets.
