Hello,
I am looking for some practically viable solutions for achieving groundwater recharge within hard rock terrain (specifically Basalts) with the recharge wells actually not penetrating the aquifer system itself and stopping a couple of meters short of the aquifer.
Secondly is the use of multi-chambered, multiple layered gravity & reverse gravity filters system which comprise of layers of sand, gravel, or rock aggregate with a layer of activated carbon sandwiched in between not adequate to permit storm water being injected into the recharge wells penetrating aquifers?
I will be obliged if the other experts working in this field would take some time to make some valuable suggestions in this context.
