Dear Sir,
I have the following query and would request a suitable and viable solutions to solve the problem.
Before starting my house construction in the month of January 2011 I dug a borewell and the details of the same are as follows.
The area where my house is located is in south Bangalore, close to Bannerghatta road. The place / area is called Devarachikkanahalli, under Bommanahalli ward, very close to Begur main road.
- The Borewell was dug to maximum depth 950 ft, throughout only one single rock found.
- Initial casing was done only for 20 ft.
- Water stocked was found from 705 ft onwards.
- Yield was at 1.5 inches
This was the condition when the borewell was dug and it was capped and sealed for safety.
After all the construction was over and at the finishing stage after 1.5 years time laps, in the month of July 2012, I made arrangements for scanning the borewell and reconfirming the presence of water before installing the submersible pump and the details of the same are as follows.
- The borewell was scanned with a camera and the output seen on the monitor.
- The bore well had one source at 100 ft, but very dismal sources from where drop by drop of water trickles to the borewell.
- The borewell is found throughout very clear, no blockages or loose particles and is found to have dug through a single rock and no change in the rock or brakes or cut in the borewell.
One more source if found at 700ft and from their stock water was found till the end. The people who scanned said that with this one source from where water drips, it can serve only your residential purpose and I was happy as I wanted for my residential purpose only. On further investigating on the submersible pump of which the details are as follows.
- Submersible pump from KSB
- 50 stages, 4 hp, 3 phase motor.
- HDPE with nylon rope was inserted with the pump.
- Automatic control panel with dry run cut off is installed.
Now after installing the submersible pump water was drawn for around a week and pressure was very very low and after running for 20 / 30 minutes use to get cut off showing dry run and the quantity of water drawn was also not in large quantity.
After a week, even the small quantity of water that was been drawn completely stopped and when the motor is switched on for 02 minutes a kind of pressure sound comes and then dry run cut off gets activated.
Then I had called the KSB company service personnel and to check. For checking the functioning of the motor, he suggested to load the borewell with external water load from tanker and then check. A load of water approx 500 litres was loaded to the borewell and then pump switched on, the water came gushing with force. Then the personnel said we fix the clamp and then switch on the pump and this took around 10 minutes.
When the pump was switched on, there is no water supplied and we can only hear the sound for 2 minutes and dry run cut off gets activated. The company personnel is telling the water is not getting stocked in the borewell but flowing out somewhere and we cannot do anything, but the motor is fine.
What should I do now? Borewell is the only source of water for us.
Kindly provide me all the best possible solutions to resolve issues with my borewell.
Thank you
Dr. S.Edwin Christopher
