I need the expert opinion of the members of the forum for installing a good & efficient drip irrigation system and the subsidies from the state (Karnataka) and Central govt on it.
We are growing sugar cane crop in 5 acre of land which solely depends on borewell water. Since water to borewell is reduced these days due to lack of rain, we wanted to install drip irrigation.

While Evaluating supplier of drip irrigation systems, I find that there are basically 3 types of systems available from some website, please let me know the true facts about it and the best
1. Certified drip irrigation systems from branded suppliers that costs Rs 40000 + per acre to install. This I understand qualifies for 50% subsidy
2. Non Certified / non branded drip irrigation systems that costs Rs 25000 to 30000 + per acre to install. They use the same components & accessories as the branded ones. This I understand does not qualify for subsidy
3. Low cost drip irrigation systems like the ones from IDEI, KB Drip irrigation that uses 250 micron tubes, but understand that they use the same sytems as others, but this costs between Rs 10000 to 12000 per acre to install.
I would like to have views on the forum on the viability, efficiency of each of the 3 systems, and their opinions on the pricing and also on what is the most optimum drip irrigation system. Also, I will appreciate recommendations on good drip irrigation suppliers in Belgaum Karnataka that are also cost effective and can design efficient systems and eligible for government subsidy and exact cost to install it...
