We have recently registered our NGO - ARRAY Foundation - Active Rehabilitation, Re-creation, Ayurveda and Yoga for spinal cord injuries in Bangalore. Initially we will be starting our centre on the land of an existing NGO who used to run a school and focused on rural development.
As there is chronic water shortage here in Sriramanahalli, on Doddaballapur road, Bangalaore North, we want to look at all possibilities of water conservation, rainwater harvesting as well as black and grey water recycling.
As part of the therapy for the spinal cord injured, we want to start a permaculture project - the vegetables being grown in beds raised to wheelchair height but we need to have water. We also have reason to believe that rain water can be treated and used for toilets and showers.
