Need help selecting a site for commerical water usage from borewell for a garments washing unit - Need clarity on laws & rules

Hello Group,

I'm based in Hyderabad and want to setup a garments washing unit. The requirement for this project is 10,000 litres of bore water for 8 hours. I've contacted many brokers/agents for showing suitable lands for setting up of this project but none bother about availability of water and the legality of using the borewell for commercial purposes.

The rule book says that commercial usage of borewell is not allowed within residential areas or city limits. Many similar washing units are well within the city and residential areas and are using ground water commercially but I would like to do the right thing and follow the rules and hence would like to select a site which firstly allows commercial usage of ground water and is located in a part which has abundant water. The city is also facing an acute shortage of water and are bracing for bigger water problem for the coming year's summer.

A RO consultant once told me that there are zones designated by the Central Ground Water Authority or the State Ground Water Authority which can give guidance on which areas are abundant in water and can tell whether commercial usage of bore-wells is allowed or not. I don't know if this is true or not and I'm hoping you guys can answer this.

Can somebody throw some light on the above subject? Would really appreciated it.

Thanks,
