Hello
Only last week I got a bore well dug up to 558feet. The bore-well location is in Doddakallasanda, off Kanakpura Road, Bangalore. The 1st source of water was at 460ft (1/2" yield) and the 2nd source at 540ft (1 1/2" yield). Few days back I used a thin nylon rope tied to a small sized stone to measure the current water level and the depth to which it can be immersed. I found out that the stone struck the water surface at 400ft and it went up to 540 feet without any hindrance, beyond that I felt it was not as smooth descent as it was earlier. PVC casing has been provided upto a depth of 64 feet. Also, I figured out from some of the neighbors with similar bore depths using submersible pumps have regular problems related to silt.
My queries are:
1) Should I be using an Air Compressor Pump or Submersible Pump? Which of these would be ideal?
2) What should be capacity, make & specifications etc of the pump?
3) I expect a usage of 2000lts per day based on the presence of 5 persons in the house.
Thanks
Raghuram
