While I was searching for the NGOs working in the field of Pond Conservation, I found your website and email address and after going through your website I found that I have found right destination from where I can get help. Kindly give me your opinion and also help me if you found my matter genuine and if it relates to your field.
The matter relates to district-Sitapur (U.P.). My maternal uncle lives in Village-Bhadesiya, Tehsil-Biswan, Distt. Sitapur. In the said village, the Gram Pradhan is constructing a naala. The said naala is being constructed from outside the village to inside of the village. Dirty and polluted water along with other wastes will be dropped in a pond which is situated in the middle of the village. Apart from that, in the way of the naala (being constructed) there was a pond which has been filled by the 15-20 trolly soil and the naala will be constructed passing the pond which has been destroyed by the soil fill. The said land is also registered as 'Talaab' in Khasra. But the said talaab has lost its original value due to negligence of local authorities and gram pradhan.
About half of the villagers are opposing the construction but due to support of local authorities the naala is forcefully being constructed hurriedly neglecting the adverse effect of the same and just for the sake of near and dear ones of Gram Pradhan. We need urgent help in the matter. Kindly inform as to whetheranybody can help us in the matter and help restore the original pond. I am eagerly waiting for your reply/response.
