Micro Energy Credits - Want to reach out to academics and government officials to discuss water issues in Karnataka

Hello,

To provide a brief introduction about Micro Energy Credits (MEC), we are a social enterprise based in Seattle, US. MEC partners with rural banks and micro finance institutions and connects them to the carbon credits / carbon revenue markets when they lend to BOP / rural clients for clean energy products such as solar lighting, efficient cook stoves and water purifiers. In India, we have 7 partners including Aryavart Gramin Bank, Prathama Bank, Gurgaon Gramin Bank, Allahabad UP Gramin Bank, Bank Of India, Grameen Koota and ESAF.

MEC is currently undergoing a CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) Project Validation. As a part of that validation exercise, the validation team would like to meet and discuss with different experts on topics related to the environment, water issues in Karnataka, treatment of drinking water for rural population in Karnataka, etc.

I wanted to reach out to appropriate academics/professors and Government officials who may be able to do conference calls (or in-person meetings if they happen to be in Bangalore) the next few days. Please email me if you could help provide some appropriate contacts.

Thanks and regards,
