What are the areas in India that show microbial contamination of water and is there any data on disease burden thereof? We at the Tata Trust amongst many things support a number of programs on community health throughout the country. One of the key issues in terms of disease burden is linked to microbial contamination of drinking water. There exists a simple technical and behavioral protocol which can be implemented to deal with this. As a first step in this initiative we need to map the areas within the country that show high microbial contamination of water.
