Hi,
I am resident of Mogappair East, Chennai, where the water pumped from borewell (depth around 70 ft) turns yellow. When water is stored in overhead tank, deposits will come as fine mud. This mud is clogging the water lines and I was forced to spend money to lay fresh lines from overhead to my house taps. My plumber is suggesting to construct a tank filled with sponge which is to be replaced frequently. But, he says it is costly affair.
Is there any system with self cleaning and cheaper method available in the market. Since, water scarcity is recurring every year, so, it is not possible to install reverse osmosis.
