Hi,
I’m currently investigating the potential use of small-medium scale solar powered sea-water reverse osmosis systems in coastal areas of India. In particular I’m exploring the possibility of co-locating these technologies near salt-pans so that “waste” RO product may be used to enhance salt production. In this way local communities would benefit from electricity and clean water, salt productivity would be enhanced and salt ingress from over exploitation of ground water would be mitigated.
To this aim I am working with professors from Exeter University UK and in PCU to draft initial research proposals for funding in the UK and India.
Would your organisation be interested in providing assistance?
My immediate requirement is to determine small communities in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu that might benefit from such a scheme.
I would be most grateful for any assistance or advice you might offer.
Kind regards,
