Hi,
Can any one tell me if constructing a septic tank in an independent house in Bangalore is legal or illegal (BBMP jurisdiction).
We don't have government provided sewage line and the current one goes to wild - a common septic tank that has now been considered to be in illegal land owned by the railways.
If it is illegal, I would like to know which rule is that and how come the current one that we have is legal as well as the cases about all houses where common drainage system is not there.
If it is legal, I want to know how to build an environment friendly septic tank, if possible to combine with a rainwater harvesting system (including minimum distance from borewell, sump, building etc).
