Is it advisable to install a submersible motor to get water from my borewell when the water yield is above 1 inches in Bangalore

A borewell was dug at my residence in R R nagar, Bangalore on 18th july 2011. We hit rock at 50-55 feet and a casing of 60 feet was lowered, after further digging with a lot of dust rising from the greyish rock, water was struck at 230-235 feet. Within a few feet after striking water the driller stopped the rig and said that there were boulders in the drilling spot.

On inspecting I noticed pieces of rock the size of 15-20 mm jelly stones which were orangish in color. After 15-20 minutes of discussion I asked him to drill further. We finally stopped at 295 feet. As he was taking the drill out I asked him to lower it after 5 minutes and noticed that the rod was not going back totally, around 2-3 feet had got filled in this time. I checked after two days and noticed that the borewell had closed upto 230-235 feet and above this there was 50 feet of water.

In this situation is it advisable to install a submersible motor (as the water yield was above 1 inches)?

I hired a compressor motor of 1 HP and tried to pump water by inserting pipes upto 230 feet depth, but I was able to get only 150 litres of water after running the motor for an hour.

Please suggest what must be my next course of action to get water from my borewell.
