I am Umashankar from Chennai. I have a problem of high iron content in the borewell, but some of my neighbours (within 50 - 100 metres), don't have this problem.
Is there anyway to find the location of the water table within my plot which is less in iron content. I have installed an iron removal plant. The results are not that great, which still presents iron content which turns the water into yellow colour. I have flushed the bore a week before, but the condition has become still worse with more iron content.
Is it advisable to add chlorine or alum directly to the bore for rapid sedimentation and clearance?
