Increased power supply needed for agricultural electricity connection - Need to know about the KEB approval process

I recently got borewell drilled in my farmland in Mangalore and fortunately got good yield of 4.5 inches. Some folks suggested me to go for one of the best submersible pumps so that i would not have any problems with fitting numerous sprinklers in my 4 acre farmland. Accordingly my pump technican fitted a 7.5HP 12 phase Kirloskar pump at a depth of 340 feets depth.

So far i already have a 2HP 3 phase electricity connection for my well pump. Now i need to get approval from KEB for 7.5 HP load.

Does anyone knows the exact procedure for this. My inquiry at KEB office directed me to approach a electrical contractor and pay 2000 rs for getting this connection approval in addition to Rs 8000 that i need to pay to government as fees for 7.5 HP approval.

Also there is a voltage drop in the area as a result the voltage drops from 410 volts to 270 volts instantly on starting this motor. May be the line to which i am connected does not have this much capacity to support my 7.5HP pump.

Can the voltage drop damage the pump? So far the pump is working fine and i am happy with its performance.

Anyone has any experiences to share on this KEB approval process if its a smooth process or need to bribe people to get this approval without which i may have trouble operating this pump without their approval for 7.5 HP connection.
