I have a 350 feet borewell and red soil is blocking the pump, need help to fix this issue

The borewell is 350 ft deep and I found the first source of water at 140 feet and another source at 250 ft. I have a 3 phase, 3 Hp pump , 15 th stage pump. After two months the borewell is not in use.

The pump is at 265 fts and operated for 10 minutes only, the water that comes out is with soil after but after sometime it gives some clear water. We were informed that the amount of water available is 3 inches. Upto 60 ft it is soil, the casing is upto 60 ft, and the second layer is 150 ft porous rock and thereafter 25 ft red soil, then upto 300 ft it is rock layer.

Would like to know

  • The water source is at 140 ft & at 250 ft, within these two sources there is 25 ft red soil layer, is there any way we can seal the 25 feet red soil layer or is it possibile to loosen the red soil clog in the bore?
  • Is the 3 phase, 3 Hp motor pump suitable?
  • Is it a problem of water pump or strata of soil and whether a second bore is advisable in the same place?
