I recently dug a borewell in Mudabidri in Karnataka. We have got water at 480 feet and have dug upto 560 feet. We have installed 5 HP, 25 stage motor. The yield is 1.5 inches, continuous.
My question is, can the borewell pump be 'switched on' always(24*7 for 365days)? I am asking this question because my borewell pump mechanic tells me that it has be switched off for at least 2 hours daily.
