Hi Forum Members,
I live in a residential complex which houses close to 800 residential apartments. The builder as of now has not setup the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in the complex; but now has been asked by the court to set the same at the earliest possible.
Due to the directions given by the court, builder is now in hurry to set up STP and has decided to set the same in our Park without any consent of the residents.
I would request the forum members to send me any details on the guidelines in setting up STP in residential complexes. Our particular queries are:
1) What is the area requirement for setting up STP for residential complexes?
2) Are there specific designated areas where STP's should be setup in the complex; or they can be setup any where e.g., parks etc.?
3) What are the dangers of setting up the STP in parks etc. to the health of the residents? This question is because of the concern that the STP's throw up fumes and bad smell which can lead to health problems in children and others.
4) Should these STP's be setup at some distance from the residences?
5) Can STP's be setup as underground or in basement?
Any help and directions in this regard will be highly appreciated.
Regards,
RJ
