I am a Final year student studying civil engineering at NIT Hamirpur (H.P). Me and two of my classmates are working on a project where-in we are proposing a water reuse system for one of our hostels .
Our main objective is to reuse the gray water (waste water only from bathrooms ) for toilet flushing and gardening.
- we plan to have the treatment system as close to the hostel as possible to reduce the pumping costs.
- there is ample space available around the hostel for the treatment facility.
- the hostel houses 360 students and 40 staff hostel staff members.
So, as per the CPHEEO Manual on water usage thats about 28000 (400*70) liters of gray water , per day from bathing and washing .
So, kindly suggest a low cost technology will be most suitable considering that it is going to a model for institutions in the region .
