Fitting the pump and selecting the proper pipe for for water outflow from a borewell

Hi,

Few days before we chosen the bore point through some astrologer and planned to start the process. On this last sunday we started boring at that point and driller said that one small amount of water was found at 160 feet. We proceeded further and again a small point at 240 and 350 consecutively..So i advised driller to stop the process at 400 feet. He promised me one inch water is available for domestic use. He even proved me by flushing the hole with discharge of water. The bore was 6.5" and casing has been done for 88 feet. A guy from motor industry advised me to chose 1.5 HP pump with 14 stage, and 1.25" of pipe for drawing the water from borewell which is to be placed at 300 feet. How much amount of water shall i expect and how long the flow will remain constant. A near by relative is running his borewell with 4" inch of water at 150 feet in his 6.5" borewell but why am getting only lesser yield even at 400 feet. I'm bit confused, whether problem is with my side or other. Please help me out.
