I am planning to use this land for constructing a farm house. I would also like to grow trees here. In order to do so, I want to find a good water source and need your help and suggestions on the following,
1. Whether I should go for openwell or borewell?
To the east of my land 0.75 km away, my relative tried digging a borewell up to 250 feet but failed. To the west of my land there is a village called Periyathachur (2 Kms away) where I understand that water is available at around 40 feet depth. A few metres away from my land, people have openwells of 40 ft depth since a long time and are having water in these wells too. But I am not sure if this water can be used for agricultural purpose through out the year
2. I am planning to go for electrical resistivity test to find out good sources of water using some agencies. I am planning to do this after 2 or 3 months.
