Background
One of the challenges is defining and adhering to a well-defined quality standard for bulk water. Adherence to these standards can be assessed and certified by independent laboratories and awareness can be created amongst customers to ensure that they only buy water from plants that have been certified.
Input required
A request to members of the Water Community of Practice to provide inputs for the following:
- Are the BIS: 10500 standards appropriate and practical for bulk water supply?
- Do we need to separately define minimum quality standards for water being sold in bulk? If so, what should these standards be?
