Corrosion in GI pipes carrying RO feed - Advice sought

In our residential complex we are getting RO water yellow in colour for initial 5 minutes and then good quality water after that during the 15 minute water drive in the morning and evening. Because of the bad quality water for initial 5 minutes we waste lot of water.

We are told that the society we live in uses GI pipe to carry RO water and that might have got rusted which results in the bad quality of water ( to be precise, The 3 main pipelines carrying RO water from the plant to various flats have  Non Return Valves fitted just after the pumps. These pumps run only 15 minutes in the morning and evening. When the pumps are switched off after the supply, the water remains trapped in the pipelines ,because the Non return valves do not allow the water to return back.Due to this, the corrosion in pipelines continues for 24 hours although the supply is for 30 minutes in the day)

Now to questions.

1. Is GI pipe good for carying RO water?
2. Is there anyway we can remove the rusting from the GI pipe ( buried in the ground)
3. How can we remove the water logged in the pipes which cannot return due to the NRV's?
4. If we need to take help from consultant, what special skill we need to look for?
