Dear India Water Portal,
Let me introduce myself. My name is Everaldo Skalinski Ferreira and I am a geographer and researcher at the University of Brasilia - UnB - Brazil. Nowadays, I am doing my PhD at the Department of Geography on the theme of "Urban water resource management - Brazil and India - A comparison of their structure and dynamics.
This work aims to demonstrate and discuss the management of urban water resources in these two countries namely, Brazil and India, in order to highlight possible solutions for both countries. The choice of the Republic of India was made due to its territorial and hydrological similarities to certain regions of Brazil, and because they are developing countries and belong to the BRICS.
One of the great difficulties that I forsee while conducting a survey for this research is that I need to collect data on the management of water resources at the National-State-City level in India.
I would like to ask if it would be possible for us to establish contact with the governing bodies responsible for the management of water resources in India. I would also like to get some tips on how to access texts, websites and materials that would assist this research.
My Best Regards
Everaldo Skalinski Ferreira
