We have undertaken the establishment of two submersible pump based borewells to benefit a Self Help Group in a village. Name of SHG - Adarsha Self Help Group, Village Krishnanagar, Birbhum District, West Bengal. Subsequent electrification of the borewells was also carried out via DRDC.
Currently a new submersible pump based borewell has been implemented within 60 meters of one of the wells & has now applied for registration to the District SWID office. Is there any interpretation / clause of the West Bengal Ground Water Resources Act 2005 that will help us stop the above described activity? Also anomalies in the registration process are suspected how can the same be stopped ideally?
