I am writing from a location in Bangalore, Karnataka where there is currently no water supply from the board. We depend on underground water and also get water through tankers whenever there is shortage.
There is an apartment unit near my house (about 50m from my house) who depend on ground water for their daily needs. Multiple wells dug by the unit have gone dry. Now as their latest borewells have also run dry they have dug another one very close to my house, on the road side which is public property very far from their apartment. They are also planning to dig another one again on the roadside, on the other side of my house.
Is this justified? Could you please point me to the rules and regulations also for digging borewells in Bangalore?
The place where they have dug a borewell is in front of an unconstructed site in a public place. What are the rules and regulations regarding the construction of a borewell on public areas?
