Borewell gets muddy water during heavy rains, foot valve gets clogged - Will replacing the existing pump help?

My bore well is about 10 years old. It is for domestic use and the diameter 5 inches and depth 75 feet. The outer casing is inserted up to a depth of 30 feet (clay soil) and there after up to bottom it is 4 inch dia hole drilled in to soft rock (grainy). The water is abundant as our area itself is a low level area.

During summer at least always 40 ft water available and during rainy days it comes to floor level. When ever during very heavy rains water becomes slightly muddy and it settles in about 2 days. (water becomes clear). The over head tank is situated at a height of 35 feet and at a distance of 30 feet.

Presently I am using a centrifugal jet pump (single stage 1 hp). Whenever, during heavy rains and immediately after that If I use the motor, the foot valve gets clogged or getting struck which requires lifting the pipes either to clean or replace the ft valve, consuming time and money. 5 months back I utilised bore flushing services and was OK till now until the heavy rain brought back the same situation. (They cleaned the bore and inserted a 4.5 inches slotted PVC pipe to a depth of 30 feet).

My question is that, by replacing existing pumping mechanism to air compressor pumping system (1 hp single phase) do I get a peace of mind?
