Bore depth 305 feet in north-east corner failed - Can this be retained

Bore depth 305 feet, in north-east corner, at distance of feet as point fixed by the geologist, but it has failed. Later a geologist has fixed a point with magnetic rods at the middle of the eastern side compound wall and drilled bore up to 230 ft, water found at 140 ft and submersible pump fixed 180 ft. Now water is sufficient for one family.

Can the failed bore at the north-east  point be retained or not?
