I bought a land in Trichy, near OFT. My contractor told me that water will be available at a depth of 60 to 80 ft and plain PVC pipe will be laid for a depth of 40 ft. My question is
1. How deep should a borewell be?
2. If water comes at a depth of say 60 feet, is it possible to drill upto 200 feet?
3. How deep a plain PVC to be laid? What is its logic?
4. What is slotted PVC?, where it can be used?
5. Is it necessary to drill upto hard rock? or even deep after hard rock?
6. If I lay only 60 feet Plain PVC pipe and my pump suction pipe is 100 feet, is there any possibility of chocking in my foot-valve?
7. Is there any possibility of self closing of borewell due to falling of sand from sides into borewell and stopping the water?
Kindly advice, I got difference of opinion.
