2 HP bore well pump motor in a house in Bangalore, Karnataka, tripping after running sometime - Is this because of low water level in the bore well? Need advice

we have installed texmo 2HP 30 stage Submersible pump  in Aug 2008. We didn't have problem untill March 16 2011. On March 16th March, Suddenly motor panel (L&T Make) START switch stopped working. One electrician came and changed  DP switch , after that pump started working and water  discharged for 1 hr.

Sameday evening after starting motor, pump tripped. When switch on pump initially it shows 15A on panel and after 2 to 3 mins time it will jump to 30A, but no water . When it Reaches 30A we used to stop pump, as it may spoil pimp/wires. . We have called pump  repair people on 19th March . They told that water dried in the bore well. we called tanker and poured around 1000-1500 ltrs into borewell to verify actually water dried up or pump problem.

After pouring water motor started and started discharging water. Nect day I mean, 20th March, we started motor in the morning it worked and started discharging water.

From 20th March, motor discharged water around 750-1000 ltrs per day, this worked for 4 days.

Then on 24th March, it stopped working. Same problem “ When switch on pump initially it shows 15A on panel and after 2 to 3 mins time it will jump to 30A, but no water”. On 26th Morning we called tanker and pour around 2500 ltrs water into borewell and started motor it worked and started discharging water. So we thought borewell dried up. On 26th evening tried no water, 27th Morning no Water . On 28th Morning again we tried, surprisingly pump started working and discharged around 3000 ltrs in 4.5 hrs, due to power cut after 4.5 hrs motor got stopped. Just before power cut pump discharging properly.

 

Again today 29th Morning, I have started pump. It got tripped in the panel and start switch not working afterwards. So I have called electrician to check panel. According to electrician START relay on the panel gone and Condensers are fine on the panel.

He tried to switch on motor by pressing directly inside the panel. Now panel showas only 10 A instead of normal 15 A. He says that pump might have jammed or no water in borewell. To confirm that we need to take out pump and check.

 

Now my questions are.

  1. Does these are indications of borewell dried up ( My next neigbours borewll is 450 ft deep seems to work fine, another neighbour's also around 400 ft deep working fine)

  2. In what cases pump gets tripped? Does pump gets tripped if no water in borewell.

  3. What is best and economical way to check water level in the borewell?

  4. In case not dried , is it advisable to increase the depth of pump from current 600 ft to 650 ft (total depth is 665 ft)?

  5. If borewell dried up. How water discharged for some days in between?
