I bought a new house near Guduvanchery, Chennai. The borewell is located just near septic tank (6 feet). The septic tank is constructed by cement (only side wall) and here the bottom is not lined with concrete (total feet of septic tank is 8 feet). After relocating to new house, within 2 weeks I found that the water has a bad smell (like sewage smell + light black colour). All the drainage system is constructed to drain the water in soil.
Is it because water is getting mixed in septic or some other drainage?
The builder planned to go for new bore well but that is also near to the septic tank (only 4 feet).
Note: The house itself is very compact so So no feasible solution to re locate the bore to opposite end at a greater distance from septic tank.
Please suggest , what are the precautions needed to be take before digging a new bore well.I have only 2 days to dig new bore well so please suggest me on this asap. Another detail- ground water level in the area is 30 feet onwards.
