Job responsibilities:
The project management specialist (Environment) provides substantial assistance to overall planning and preparation of new programs and activities within the environment and forestry sectors for USAID/India. The specialist works closely with staff members of the GOI, Indian state governments, the U.S. government, international donors, and NGOs on USAID/India investments in these sectors.
Qualification:
Minimum six years of progressively responsible professional-level experience in the environmental sector, which should have included research in the economics of environmental management, environmental policy analysis, environmental development program administration, and/or business development in the environmental sector. Recent experience in the area of clean environmental program/project development, as applied to economic growth and economic reform programs for improving environment management, is highly desirable.
