Job description: Under the guidance of the Programme Manager (NOD), the incumbent will be responsible for providing technical support and facilitation for State Government’s policy analysis, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the national Rural Water Supply programme and Total Sanitation Campaign, School and Anganwadi Watsan programme as well as provision of technical assistance to focus - districts.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating Policy and Building Partnerships
  • Programme Planning and Implementation  Action
  • Technical Assistance, Capacity Building and Knowledge Management
  • Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Inter-sectoral collaboration
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response

Qualification:
Advanced university degree in one of the disciplines relevant to the following areas: - Public Health, Geology, Hydrology, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a field relevant to international WASH related development assistance. Additional training in Health Education or Communication for Development (Programme Communication) an asset.

Fluency in spoken and written English and Hindi. Knowledge of the local working language of the duty station will be an asset.

Experience:
Five years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the UN or other international development organization, national government or the private sector. Field work experience. Background/familiarity with Emergency (preparedness and response) will be an asset.
