Qualification:
A background of environmental science or any science graduate with inclination to work for environment.
Job Description:
- Conducting primary and secondary research on issues related to environment and sustainability.
- Testing of air, water and soil by using various test equipments like spectrophotometer, colorimeter, handy air sampler etc.
- Analysis of data and preparation of simple textual and visual material on environmental issues before urban activist groups, mass organizations, and labour associations.
- Conduct and participate in a series of public meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences.
- Eventually produce a policy and strategy framework that would enable the urban poor to assert a sustainable model of urban development.
- Should be proficient in writing/ speaking, both Hindi and English as a medium of communication.
- Should be comfortable in working in the field and communicating with the community members, as a lot of primary research conducted at Hazards Centre requires direct interaction with the primary stakeholders in the field.
- Should be prepared to travel anywhere in India at short notice.
Remuneration:
Scale for fresher starts at Rs. 13,068.00 (Consolidated). However, a person can be placed in higher grade depending on past experience relevant for the job.
