National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), a premier autonomous Institute for urban research, training and information dissemination, urban development and management supported by the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), Government of India, invites applications for the following posts -
EDITOR (One Post)
- In the Pay Band 3 of Pay Scale Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.6600/- (Rs.10,000-325-15,200 prerevised with central government allowances)
- Essential Educational Qualification(s): PG. in Economics/ Sociology/ Geography/ Planning with at least 55 per cent marks or equivalent grade
- Desirable: M.Phil. or PhD in any of the above subjects
- Professional Qualification (Desirable):
- Degree/Diploma in Journalism/Mass Communication from a recognized university
- Knowledge of computer skills and audio visuals
- Experience: 8 years experience in editing professional journals, particularly those related to Urban & Regional Planning, Environmental Planning and of research monographs, publications and dissemination of research results, including 6 months experience in publishing under computer environment
- Age: Minimum 30 years and maximum 40 years. Age in relaxation as per GoI rules, in case of candidate belongs to SC/ST Category
RESEARCH ANALYST (One Post)
- In the Pay Band 2 of Pay Scale Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs.4200/- (Rs.5,000-150-8,000 prerevised with central government allowances)
- Essential Educational Qualification(s): Post graduate in Economics/Sociology/Geography/Planning with at least 55 per cent marks or equivalent grade
- Desirable: M.Phil in Economics/Sociology/Geography/Statistics from a recognized university
- Professional Qualification (Desirable): Knowledge of computer skills including software techniques
- Experience: 2 years in data collection, tabulation and analysis of data
- Age: Minimum 22 years and maximum 30 years. Age in relaxation as per GoI rules, in case of candidate belongs to SC/ST Category
- Candidate working in Government, Semi-Government Organizations/Public Sector Undertakings and Autonomous Bodies should route their application “Through Proper Channel” or furnished “No Objection Certificate” at the time of interview
